Yet, the Union is not without its advantages they are noted for their air power and may yet have a means for leveling the playing field. Naval advantage is believed to be in the hands of the confederates and they are also utilizing a more dishonorable tactic by offering Letters of Marquee to local pirates of the Maze - allowing parties to raid Union ships preferring skullduggery to honorable warfare on the battlefield. Both sides are furtive about their strategies and details of the types of technology they are using, and understandably so as the war continues to rage on endlessly. However, the Union is believed to only have what is called ‘mid-level technology’ while the Confederates are said to have ‘high-level technology.’ What this may mean to common folk such as us is not yet known. It is a most terrifying and lethal thought that has the Confederates on their guard. It seems that neither the North nor the South is willing to send soldiers out here who have not proven themselves. Both the Union and the Confederates have few men stationed in the Great Maze, but both sides have men that very loyal to the cause. Rumors of unusual instruments of war have been sweeping the state. As such, it is our duty to convey this news to all.
